Stainless steel 455 is a martensitic, age-hardenable alloy yielding strength characteristics that are roughly 3 times the strength of standard 304 stainless. 445 resists staining in normal atmospheres and shows no corrosion in fresh water, good ductility and toughness. This alloy is extremely stable during heat-treating making it able to be machined to close tolerance prior to aging.
Stainless steel 410 is a basic martensitic grade which contains 11.5% chromium, offering both exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. 410 is generally used for applications which involve mild corrosion, high strength, and heat resistance.
303 Stainless machines well and cuts clean and maintains it resistance to corrosion in temperatures up to 1500 degrees F. Good applications include repeat machining, fittings and fasteners.

Stainless 317 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance. (317 is a modified version of 316). Its high Molybdenum content enhances the grade’s superior pitting resistance. It is the most corrosion resistant of the 300 Series alloys and possesses the highest tensile and creep strength properties at elevated temperatures.
