330 is an austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy metled as AOD melt type. This grade is comprised of approximately 36% nickel giving it excellent high temperature oxidation resistance up to 2200oF. 330 stainless remains fully austenitic at all temperatures and is not subject to embrittlement from sigma formation. It has a solid solution composition and is not hardenable by heat treatment.
303 Stainless machines well and cuts clean and maintains it resistance to corrosion in temperatures up to 1500 degrees F. Good applications include repeat machining, fittings and fasteners.
