Delrin® Acetal is a highly-crystalline engineering thermoplastic used in high load mechanical applications. It is characterized by its high strength, hardness and rigidity to −40 °C. Found intrinsically opaque white, due to its high crystalline composition, but it is available in all colors.
Acrylic is a clear thermoplastic with about 92% transparency, making it useful in many optical applications. Unaffected by moisture it is also a good electrical insulator for low frequencies and has very good resistance for weathering. Lexan has better insulation properties than glass and is inherently high impact making it an excellent candidate for glazing for economical protection against breakage or intrusion. Opaque sheet options combine for ease of thermoforming or cold forming.
